Why This Page Matters

At Websplore, we take content protection seriously. Whether you're a creator whose work has been used without permission or someone whose content was wrongly removed, this page explains everything you need to know about handling DMCA takedown notices and counter-notices.

We fully commit to complying with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and supporting copyright holders and content publishers through a fair, transparent process.

What Is a DMCA Takedown Notice?

A DMCA takedown notice is a legal request to remove content that infringes on a copyrighted work. It allows copyright owners to protect their content online without immediately going through court proceedings.

If you’re a copyright holder and your work has been used without permission on Websplore.com, you can file a takedown request following the steps outlined below.

Types of Content That Can Be Protected

You may file a DMCA notice to protect original content such as:

  • Articles and blog posts

  • Music files

  • Videos and multimedia content

  • Photographs and artwork

  • Software or code

  • Digital publications and eBooks

How to File a DMCA Takedown Notice

To file a valid takedown notice, please include all of the following:

    1. Your full legal name and contact information (email address, mailing address, phone number)

    2. A clear description of the copyrighted material being infringed

    3. The specific URL or location of the infringing content on Websplore.com

    4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use of the material is unauthorized

    5. A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner

    6. Your physical or electronic signature

Send all DMCA notices to: hello@websplore.com

What Happens After You Submit a Notice

After we receive a valid takedown notice:

    • We will review and process it as quickly as possible

    • If the content is found to be infringing, we will remove or restrict access to it

    • We will notify the uploader of the content and provide them an opportunity to respond with a counter-notice if they believe the takedown was incorrect

Please note: As required by law, Websplore may act on a valid DMCA notice without investigating the claim's accuracy.

How to File a DMCA Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentified, you can submit a counter-notice. Your notice must include the following information:

    1. Your full legal name, address, phone number, and email

    2. Identification of the material that was removed, along with its original location (URL)

    3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the content was removed in error or misidentification

    4. A statement agreeing to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Federal District Court for your district or where Websplore operates

    5. A declaration that you will accept legal service from the original complainant

    6. Your physical or electronic signature

    Send your counter-notice to hello@websplore.com

Important: Misusing the counter-notice process can lead to legal consequences under Section 512(f) of the DMCA. If unsure whether your content qualifies, consult an attorney before proceeding.
